How does YoLO onboard locals?
Our core team visits each destination to meet and assess potential locals. We identify individuals who are enthusiastic , knowledgeable and can nudge authentic travels. We also take referrals from existing trusted locals. Once selected, these locals undergo training to understand travelers' interests and provide valuable insights effectively.
Are these locals safe?
Absolutely. We prioritize safety and reliability. Each local is carefully vetted through our rigorous selection process. They are trained to ensure they meet our standards for professionalism and safety. Our goal is to provide travelers with trustworthy and safe interactions.
What do locals get in return?
Locals are compensated for their time and expertise. They receive 50% of the fees we charge the travellers. They also hold a veto over use of our Eco funds. They gain a platform to share their passion for their region while connecting with travelers from around the world.
How is YoLO priced?
YoLO is completely free until we on-board first 50 locals. After which we will charge a nominal fee to the the travellers. This fees will be split as follows - 50% for local - 30% for operations + platform maintenance -20% for Eco fund.
